August 27th at Panoráma Camping Orfű. Although the hike starts from Váralja, it is recommended for all participants to arrive in Orfű. Firstly, because it is easier to reach by public transportation, and secondly, because this year's Fjallraven Hiking Tour is not a circular tour, so it is easier to get back home from the destination in Orfű. In addition, those arriving by car can leave their cars at Panoráma Camping for the whole week. We provide bus transfers for participants between Orfű (destination) and Váralja (starting point), so please indicate on the registration form which bus departure you will be able to make it to. The 2023 Fjallraven Hiking Tour will start from the Váralja Youth Camp on August 28th, 2023 at 9:00 am. Briefing will start at 8:30 am.It is recommended to spend the night of August 27th at Váralja, at the campsite, so that the morning departure can be comfortable. Please note, that those arriving individually by car to Váralja, we cannot provide safe parking spaces for the duration of the Vándortúra, and at the end of the hike we cannot provide transfer from Orfű to Váralja.

Unfortunately, we don’t refund tickets. However, you can sell them or even buy sold out tickets at the original price from people not being able to use their tickets. This exchange is between the seller and the buyer, the organizers are not involved. However, both the seller and the buyer needs to fill the registration form, and contact us via info@fjallraven-vandortura.com.

Camping is allowed only in designated campsites which are located within settlements. Cold water sanitation facilities are available at campsites, some of them offer hot water as well, but due to the amount of participants, hot water is not guaranteed.
Medical care If you have any medical issues during the trek, contact the checkpoint or camp staff. Aside from having other trekkers around to help, all our campsites have first aid staff. Do not take unnecessary risks, be prepared, be well, rest enough. Watch out for yourself. Please note that the route runs within National Park boundaries, hence it is forbidden to leave the designated path. Medical staff and equipment There will be a first aid service at each camsite point, where limited amount of medical equipment and medicine is available. The staff at the checkpoints can contact the medical staff at the campsites in case of emergency and, if necessary, they can organize the rescue. If the injured person is unable to walk, we will go to the nearest accessible point by car for the injured person. Medical interventions will be documented. If you decide to quit, you must contact the organizers by phone or at the checkpoints.
Physical preparation: During Fjällräven Vándortura you sleep in your own tent that you carry along the trail. Make sure you are in shape, because during the trip you have to be able to walk for approximately 20 km/day in a diverse environment, while carrying a backpack weighing between 10 and 20 kg. Feet care: Use comfortable, already tested shoes/boots during the trip. Cover your heels with tape to prevent damage. Double layer your socks if necessary.
