Important infos and rules

Arriving

It is worth arriving on the night before start to the campsite, it is available for you from the afternoon. If you only plan to arrive on the day of the start, please make sure that you arrive no later than 8 o'clock so you don't miss orientation.

By public transportation
Please use menetrendek.hu for bus schedules to get there.

By car
This year's Vándortúra is not a circular trekk, so you will have to leave your car at the final campsite for the whole week (Zánka, Tenger-szem Horse farm). The registration fee covers a bus transfer to the Start on Sunday afternoon.

Registration fee

The registration fee is 95 000 HUF in 2025.

Trading tickets

Unfortunately, we don’t refund tickets. However, you can sell them or even buy sold out tickets at the original price from people not being able to use their tickets. This exchange is between the seller and the buyer, the organizers are not involved. However, both the seller and the buyer needs to fill the registration form, and contact us via info@fjallraven-vandortura.com.

Conditions of cancellation

Cancellation by the organizer:

The Organization reserves the right to cancel the hike in vis major cases (such as harsh weather conditions, transportation difficulties, high risk of accidents or other unpreventable external conditions). Participants to be informed of such cases as soon as possible.
In these cases full refund is not possible. 20% will be held back as preparation cost but this amount will be discounted from future applications.

Accommodation

Camping is allowed only in designated campsites which are located within settlements.
Cold water sanitation facilities are available at campsites, some of them offer hot water as well, but due to the amount of participants, hot water is not guaranteed. On day 0. and on the last night as well you can stay at the campsite, it is covered in the registration fee.

Other provisions:

Organizers reserve the right to modify the trail, the programs and the supplies. All participants attend the hike on their own responsibility.
By registering, all participants accept all rules and regulations.
No compensation can be claimed by participants from the organizers. However organizers will do everything in their power for the participants' well being.
The organizer excludes his obligation to compensate for damages that occurred in spite of the behavior, attention, and prudence generally expected of hikers and the instructions of the organizers. Participants are directly responsible for damage caused to third parties during the event.
With registration, participants give their consent for the organizers to keep their personal data on record, use them for the preparation of statistics, and to display their names among the participants of the event. The provision of data is voluntary, the data is managed by Equinox. The personal data provided by the participant will not be transferred to third parties, except in cases specified by law, and they will be handled exclusively for Equinox's organizational purposes in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. You can request the deletion of your personal data from this database at any time by sending a statement to Equinox. The data will be deleted immediately after the tasks associated with the organization have been completed. We will comply with the actual pandemic regulations.
Only those hikers can attend the event, who do not have any known injuries, illnesses, or infections that would hinder or prevent the hiker or his fellow hikers from participating.

Good to know

Medical care
If you have any medical issues during the trek, contact the checkpoint or camp staff. Aside from having other trekkers around to help, all our campsites have first aid staff. But if you have a medical emergency please call 112.
Don't leave your first aid box at home
In case of injury or illness you can call us or you can contact us at any campsites or checkpoints.
Please note that there might not be network coverage everywhere.
IT IS PROHIBITED TO…
… consume alcohol or drugs during the hike.
… using vehicles during the trek.
… accommodate anywhere else than the campsites.
… disrespect the regulations set by the National Park.
… take any unnecessary risks during the hike.
… risk the life of others in any way.
… disrespect the selective trash collection.

Do not take unnecessary risks, be prepared, be well, rest enough. Watch out for yourself.

Please note that the route runs within National Park boundaries, hence it is forbidden to leave the designated path. Medical staff and equipment
There will be a first aid service at each camsite point, where limited amount of medical equipment and medicine is available. The staff at the checkpoints can contact the medical staff at the campsites in case of emergency and, if necessary, they can organize the rescue. If the injured person is unable to walk, we will go to the nearest accessible point by car for the injured person. Medical interventions will be documented.

If you decide to quit, you must contact the organizers by phone or at the checkpoints.

Prepare

Physical preparation:
During Fjällräven Vándortura you sleep in your own tent that you carry along the trail. Make sure you are in shape, because during the trip you have to be able to walk for approximately 20 km/day in a diverse environment, while carrying a backpack weighing between 10 and 20 kg.

Feet care:
Use comfortable, already tested shoes/boots during the trip. Cover your heels with tape to prevent damage. Double layer your socks if necessary. If you experience pain take a break and check the area in question.
