GOOD TO KNOW
August 27th at Panoráma Camping Orfű.
Although the hike starts from Váralja, it is recommended for all participants to arrive in Orfű. Firstly, because it is easier to reach by public transportation, and secondly, because this year's Fjallraven Hiking Tour is not a circular tour, so it is easier to get back home from the destination in Orfű. In addition, those arriving by car can leave their cars at Panoráma Camping for the whole week.
We provide bus transfers for participants between Orfű (destination) and Váralja (starting point), so please indicate on the registration form which bus departure you will be able to make it to.
The 2023 Fjallraven Hiking Tour will start from the Váralja Youth Camp on August 28th, 2023 at 9:00 am. Briefing will start at 8:30 am.It is recommended to spend the night of August 27th at Váralja, at the campsite, so that the morning departure can be comfortable.
Please note, that those arriving individually by car to Váralja, we cannot provide safe parking spaces for the duration of the Vándortúra, and at the end of the hike we cannot provide transfer from Orfű to Váralja.

Make sure you are in shape, because during the trip you have to be able to walk for approximately 20 km/day in a diverse environment, while carrying a backpack weighing between 10 and 20 kg.
Feet care: Use comfortable, already tested shoes/boots during the trip. Cover your heels with tape to prevent damage. Double layer your socks if necessary. If you experience pain take a break and check the area in question.
